Linda lovatt

We had a special visit from Linda Lovatt the other day in class.  Linda is a craft designer and illustrator based in Jedburgh.  She told us what her main interests were in college and how they have helped her to get to where she is today.  Although her main interest is illustration,  she also makes crafts called Beastie assemblage.  Her main inspiration is her garden, hares,  flowers and birds.   The materials she uses for her crafts are copper, broken China and other little bits such as wire.  Throughout the years,  Linda has expanded her range to making jewellery,  framed pictures and  clocks, aswell as continuing with her free standing Beastie assemblage.  I found it very interesting listening to  Linda as I have not heard much about making crafts. I found it very inspiring and looking forward to finding out more.
