Portrait inspired by Joshua Reynolds

My second attempt at a self portrait.  I decided to take Joshua Reynolds self portrait and use it as my inspiration. When I first looked at the portrait I thought,  he has an instrument,  is this because he is interested in music? As I put pencil to paper I got carried away and thought,  I am interested in flowers (mostly lilies)  and butterflies,  I'll draw them.  This is my result,  for this I used pastels and crayons for added detail.  I also feel this is a good starting point.
